USM won the tender to assess the existing indoor market at Seven Sisters in Tottenham. This market has a large number of Latin American traders and is considered a niche market. The first study was to assess the market and see whether it could be included in the planned redevelopment of the Wards Corner site. At that time a break of 2 years for development along with a different commercial deal led to the conclusion that alternative premises should be found. The second study was for Grainger Plc (the chosen developer for the Wards Corner area). This study looked at options for keeping the market in the new development and what would be required in the development period to keep it alive.
